JFC Norfolk hosts MARCOM and AIRCOM Command Senior Enlisted Leaders

NORFOLK, Virginia, USA - Command Senior Enlisted Leaders from NATO Headquarters’ Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) and Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) visited various U.S. Navy Commands in the Hampton Roads, Virginia, area to learn more about the U.S. Navy and integration within the Alliance, June 13-15.

Royal Air Force Warrant Officer Sara Catterall, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, AIRCOM, and Royal Marines Commando Warrant Officer 1st Class Mick Stanion, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, MARCOM, saw and experienced U.S. Navy capabilities while being hosted by Joint Force Command Norfolk.

MARCOM and AIRCOM Command Senior Enlisted Leaders get a close look inside the cockpit of an F/A-18 Super Hornet at Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106, Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Virginia.

“It was an absolute pleasure hosting the AIRCOM and MARCOM CSELs,” said Fleet Master Chief Huben Phillips, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, JFC Norfolk and Fleet Master Chief of Commander, U.S. 2nd Fleet.

We were able to show them a variety of systems and Commands that highlight the Navy’s steadfast commitment to the Alliance.

Warrant Officer 1st Class Mick Stanion, Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) Senior Enlisted Leader, and Warrant Officer Sara Catterall, Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) Senior Enlisted Leader, ride in a Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) during a visit to Assault Craft Unit 4.

Some of the Commands Catterall and Stanion visited included Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106, Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 26, amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek. They participated in an MH-60S helicopter flight, a tour of Bataan, and a Landing Craft Air Cushion ride.
