Norfolk, Virginia –  Admiral Sir Keith Blount KCB OBE, DSAECUR, visited Joint Force Command Norfolk on 6 May 24 and was hosted by the Deputy Commander, Rear Admiral Tim Henry along with other senior personnel from JFC Norfolk. As part of his visit, DSACEUR was given a tour of the headquarters and received briefings on the continued growth of JFC Norfolk, the lessons identified from NATO Exercise STEADFAST DEFENDER and the recent accession and integration of NATO’s newest ally, Sweden.

"DSACEUR’s visit to Joint Force Command Norfolk allowed us to discuss with him the considerable progress that we have made towards adapting to current and future security challenges in the Atlantic and the Arctic. We will continue to develop as needed in order to ensure that this headquarters remains ready to execute the missions and tasks that we are given." Rear Admiral Tim Henry said.

DSACEUR thanked personnel for the vital work that JFC Norfolk undertakes and the contributions it makes on a daily basis to the security in the Atlantic and the Arctic and for their efforts during NATO Exercise STEADFAST DEFENDER where JFC Norfolk acted as a Joint Task Force HQ for the first time with real world units participating.  DSACEUR serves as the second in command to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe and concurrently as the deputy head of Allied Command Operations.
